Welcome to Williamsburg Manor Bed & Breakfast, where our guests enjoy gracious Southern hospitality in a fresh and eclectic setting! The interior spaces and gardens of the inn have been recently revitalized and updated by owners Craig and Laura Reeves to combine the spirit of Williamsburg’s downtown area with the most modern of amenities. Our child and pet friendly lodging is a refreshing and convenient destination for a family vacation in Williamsburg, VA. A short walk from the inn brings you to the unique shops and innovative restaurants of Merchant’s Square, as well as the historic attractions of Colonial Williamsburg and the beautiful campus of the College of William & Mary. All of our lodging accommodations feature queen-sized beds with European-style linens, as well as private full baths. A short walk from the bed and breakfast brings you to Williamsburg’s most exciting shopping and dining area, Merchant’s Square, where our guests can sample local wines, exciting regional cuisine, and decadent desserts before pursuing unique boutiques and art galleries or taking in an art film or live concert.

RUSSELL HOUSE GREEN

The Russell House Green Room is located in the back of the house upstairs. The room has three windows overlooking our award-winning gardens and historic Williamsburg area homes. The room features a four-poster rice carved bed, 32” television, iPod docking station, clock radio, and private bath with a traditional tub / shower.

Reminiscent of the Old South, a rice bed brings back the elegance and intricate carvings of a forgotten era. A wealthy plantation, plentiful wood, a master craftsman and money combined to create a bed to reflect the style and grace of the antebellum south.

William Russell was an army officer and a prominent settler of the Southwestern Region of the Virginia Colony. He was educated at the College of William & Mary and married to Elizabeth Henry, a sister of Patrick Henry.

PALACE CHAMBERS YELLOW

The Palace Chambers Yellow Room is located on the first floor at the rear of the house overlooking the gardens. The room features a four-poster rice carved bed, 32” television, iPod docking station, clock radio, and private bath with a large shower.

Reminiscent of the Old South, a rice bed brings back the elegance and intricate carvings of a forgotten era. A wealthy plantation, plentiful wood, a master craftsman and money combined to create a bed to reflect the style and grace of the antebellum south.

This room is painted after one of the primary paint colors originally painted in the Governor’s Palace, home to seven royal governors, Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson.

JAMES SOUTHALL BLUE

The James Southall Blue Room is located in the front of the house upstairs. This room is the owners’ favorite overlooking Richmond Road, St. Bede’s Church and the historic Williamsburg area homes. The room features a four-poster rice carved bed, 32” television, iPod docking station, clock radio, and private bath with a traditional tub / shower.

James Southall, was an innkeeper of the Raleigh Tavern in Williamsburg in the late 1760’s. Since taverns were usually referred to by the name of the tavern keeper, the tavern was called “Southall’s” In 1764 & 1769, George Washington noted in his ledger that he “dined at Southall’s” and “By supper and club at Southall’s”.

JAMES GEDDY FAMILY SUITE

The James Geddy Suite is ideal for families & friends traveling together. This room features two separate bedrooms: One room with a queen-size rice carved bed and another with two twin-size beds. A kiddie cot can be added to accommodate a small child. The rooms have entrances from the hallway as well as connecting through a full bath with shower/tub combination. Each guest room has a 32” television, iPod docking station, and great views of the surrounding area.

The Geddy family arrived in Virginia from Scotland in 1733, James Geddy Sr., was a gunsmith and iron / brass craftsman. He owned a shop on the northeast corner of the Palace Green, later in 1760, his son James Geddy Jr. purchased the property from his mother and established the Silversmith Shop.

BENJAMIN POWELL HOUSE RED

The Benjamin Powell House Red Room features a Powell House Red Wall and overlooks both St. Bede Church and our award-winning gardens. The room features a cherry bed, 32” television, iPod docking station clock radio and private bath with shower.

Benjamin Powell was a successful builder in Colonial Williamsburg and worked on a number of public buildings including Bruton Parish Church and the Public Hospital in the late 1700’s. He obtained the property now known as the Benjamin Powell House Room in 1763.
